    Zendaya In Talk To Joins The Cast Of The Greatest Showman On Earth

    Singer-songstress Zendaya is circling a lead role in The Greatest Showman with Hugh Jackman, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The 19-year-old singer-and-actress will star opposite Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams and Zac Efron in the upcoming movie musical, which tells the true-life story of celebrated circus owner and entertainment impresario P.T. Barnum, who was responsible for a number of hoaxes.

    Zendaya began her career on the Disney channel, first starring alongside Bella Thorne (The Duff) in Shake it Up, and then on her own in KC Undercover. She recently confirmed that she has landed a key role in Sony’s upcoming “Spider-Man” reboot where she will star opposite Tom Holland.  This film is scheduled to be released in theaters July 2017.  She will also lend her voice to animated feature film The Guardian Brothers, and currently stars as K.C. Cooper on the Disney Channel’s K.C. Undercover.

    Michael Gracey is set to direct from a script by Michael Arndt with original songs by Justin Paul & Benj Pasek, who were Tony-nominated for The Christmas Story.  The film will be produced by Laurence Mark, Jackman and Chernin Entertainment. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zendaya will be a trapeze artist who wins Efron's heart.
