Zooey Deschanel feels great after earning Emmy nomination

Actress Zooey Deschanel, who earned a Primetime Emmy Award nomination this year for her role in TV show New Girl, is thrilled to receive this ''incredible honor''. ''I wanted to be an actress since I was two years old. It's always been my dream and ambition. This is the kind of moment you dream about. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that I could have this incredible honor and recognition. It's just so exciting,'' Zooey told Entertainment Weekly. She has received a nomination in the category of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. She also shared her excitement on Twitter with other nominees, saying ''So excited for the #Emmys! @lenadunham - what are our nails going to wear?!!!'' In the Emmy awards nominations, which was announced yesterday, AMC's Mad Men garnered the most nominations, 17, for a dramatic series, while ABC's Modern Family got 14 nominations for a comedy. Other nominees were HBO's Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones, AMC's Breaking Bad, Showtime's Homeland , and PBS's Downton Abbey. FX's miniseries American Horror Story received the greatest number of multiple nominations, 17. The awards will be announced at an ABC-televised ceremony on September 23.
