Aditi Rao took the big leap from television to big screen and made a successful debut in Sandalwood with Santhu's ‘Dove’. She was lauded for her role in the film by both the audiences as well as critics. After the release of two successful ventures, the actress is now gearing up for her third release.

Aditi is currently awaiting the release of ‘Akira’, which will hit the theatre screens this week. The actress said that she can wait for good films and wants the audience to remember her. She said, "I am here to stay for long and don't want to lose my market by doing random films. I don't want to be part of projects that drag me along with the hero and allow my presence in two or three songs, with a few dialogues thrown in. I want the audience to remember me".

She added that she was reluctant to get onboard for the film as it had another female lead Krishi Thappanda. But she signed the film when it was offered to her for the second time and does not regret the decision.  Chetan has bankrolled the venture and Naveen has helmed the flick
