    Chiranjeevi Sarja To Turn Encounter Specialist in Ranam

    South star Chiranjeevi Sarja has come on board for V Samudra’s directorial Ranam. The actor will be sharing screen space with Chetan Kumar for the first time. Chetan will be playing a revolutionist and  Chiranjeevi will be seen playing the role of a police officer that to an Encounter Specialist in the film made under RS Productions.

    Talking about the same, the director revealed, “Chetan’s looks are on the lines of revolutionary freedom fighter, Che Guevara. Chiranjeevi plays an encounter specialist in our film. As per the reports, Chetan has completed the shoot for his portions but Chiranjeevi will continue shooting for the next fifteen days. The latter was approached for the role a couple of months ago, and the film’s schedule was planned according to the actor’s dates.

    Moreover, the makers are in rumours to work with a Sandalwood superstar for the cameo but the makers are yet to make an official announcement on the same. “We are in talks with a top actor, who we feel fits perfectly into the character we have sketched. We have briefed him about his role. We are awaiting his response,” said the director.

    Moreover, eight new faces including Nithu Gowda are part of the cast. This project is being made in two languages - Kannada and Telugu, for which the director has roped in regional artists. Produced by R Srinivas, the Kannada version has Gurukiran as music director and Niranjan Babu as cinematographer.
