Deeksha Seth to Make Kannada Debut opposite Darshan in Jaggu Dada

Telugu film actress Deeksha Seth will soon make her debut in the Sandalwood industry with Jaggu Dada. The action film, which is to be helmed by Raghavendra Hegde, has Darshan Thoogudeep in the male lead role. “I was keen on a talented actress with a pretty face. Deeksha fit the bill as her looks have certain Indianness while also reflecting a Western charm. She also matches Darshan’s height. More importantly, Deeksha has committed herself to our project by giving us complete dates”, the director told IANS.

Excited to be a part of the film, Deeksha Seth said, “When Raghu (Raghavendra Hegde) approached me with Jaggu Dada, I felt that I had finally got a film that I believe in. Even though, this is Raghu’s debut, he comes across as a person, who is passionate about his work. Secondly, this film also helps me to experiment with a comedy for the first time. I found the premise very funny when I read the lines from the film’s script”.

Hegde, who is making his directorial debut with this project, said that he approached many top actresses for the role. “Many actresses liked the script, but they couldn't give us bulk dates for shooting. When Deeksha heard the script, she immediately committed herself to the project by giving us complete dates”, he said. Besides Deeksha, Jaggu Dada also stars Urvashi, Raj Singh Bedi, Ravishankar and Sharath Lohitashwa in prominent roles.  The film will go on floors on August 19.
