Director Rishab Shetty: There Is Someone Like Praveena In Every School

After the success of Kirik Party, it’s now time to for director Rishab to revive school memories. The director is currently busy making his upcoming film titled Sarkari Hi. Pra. Shaale, Kasaragodu, Koduge: Ramanna Rai. And the lyrics of the Dadda Dadda song from the movie are truly appreciated by the Kannada audiences.

The song has got over five lakh hits just days after it was uploaded online. Director Rishab Shetty is very happy about this fact and said that he has a very personal connection with the character Praveena, on who the song is based. “There is someone like Praveena in every school — someone who keeps failing. I based Praveena’s character on my elder brother, whose name is also Praveena. My brother and I were both average students in school, but my brother was lesser than average. He used to keep failing and couldn’t wrap his head around what was in the school books. Praveena, in the film, is the same way, which I represented with the letters flying out of the blackboard in the song”.

He believes that Dadda Dadda is about how the character Praveena feels when others call him names like dadda (stupid). Rishab added that the character is based on his brother. But there are some changes that have been made to suit the film.
