    Ere Gowda’s Next Has Been Selected For Rotterdam Film Festival

    Ere Gowda, who started his career as a security guard at an automobile store in Mysore and later ventured into films under Raam Reddy, has recently made a film titled Balekempa. The film has been selected for the Work-In-Progress Lab at the NFDC Film Bazaar 2017.



    Latest update is that Balekempa has become one of the 18 films selected in competition for the International Film Festival Rotterdam, in the Bright Future category. The Bright Future Award is worth 10,000 and it is going to be presented on February 2 during the awards ceremony this year.



    In a recent interview, Ere Gowda, who is all set to travel to Rotterdam for the film fest and award ceremony, said, “I feel proud to see a Kannada film competing with some of the best independent films on the world stage, at a festival known to be a sought-after event for filmmakers”.
