Guess Who Will Play The Lead In The Kannada Remake Of Dabangg ?

For quite some time now, Sandalwood has been wondering who would star in the remake of Bollywood hit ‘Dabangg’. Previously, it was reported that Gaalipata actor Ganesh might play the lead role but now, things have become a little clearer regarding the cast and crew for the project. Reports have stated that Gurudutt will be directing the remake and Upendra will play the lead role.

Looks like the team has also finalized the female lead and found Meghana Raj to be the best candidate. The reports further reveal that Tilak will play the antagonist, taking on Upendra. In the original flick, Salman Khan essayed the lead role while Sonakshi Sinha played the female lead. Sonu Sood played the antagonist in the film which was lauded by the audiences. The trio was directed by Abhinav Kashyap.

It is expected that the remake will go on floors soon, now that the cast has been finalized and the project has got some momentum. Upendra was last seen in ‘Mukunda Murari’ which hit theatres on October 28 last year. On the other hand, Meghana was last seen in ‘Hallelooya’ which was released last year in May.
