Haripriya Talks about Her Comic Role in Bullet Basya
Kannada actress Haripriya, who has mainly worked in family dramas, is featuring in a comedy film Bullet Basya, for the first time. Talking of her experience working in this genre, she told New Indian Express, “Working in a comedy was challenging to me, I am anxious about how the film will be received”. She also said, “Comic timing is very important and I had a lot of freedom and that helped me perform better”.
The film is helmed by Jayatheertha and produced by Jayanna. Talking of her look in the film, she said, “As a village girl, I am mostly seen in half saris. But in the songs, the director gave me an unusual look and styled me differently. I had to dress up like an Arabian dancer, in retro style, and as an Iyengar girl”.
The Kannada star will be working opposite Sharan in this film. “Though I play an innocent and reserved girl, funny things happen around me. Sharan pulls off such roles with aplomb. I observed that he is very conscious about the way he looks in the film; he wanted to make sure that everything was in tune with the storyline. And it has worked well for the film”, she said.
