I Want To Prove Myself With Rajaratha: Director Anup Bhandari

As Kannada romantic comedy film Rajaratha is releasing today, filmmaker Anup Bhandari is nervous yet confident. This is the director’s second directorial after RangiTaranga which he helmed three years ago. Rajaratha stars Nirup Bhandari, Avantika Shetty and Arya in the lead roles.

What makes the film more special is because Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar will lend his voice in the film for an inanimate object for the first time. The object is a bus that also called the Rajaratha. The filmmaker said that even if his debut film was a hit, he still wants to prove his worth in the industry.

Anup said, “I needed to prove myself with RangiTaranga. With Rajaratha, I still feel the same way. Yes, my debut film did go on to become a hit, but I won’t rest on that. I feel like I’m creating magic in this film and think this will give me a big name. I can’t think of a bigger compliment I can get as a filmmaker”. The film will be released in both Kannada and Telugu and Rana Daggubati will narrate the Telugu version of the film.
