Iti Acharya Shares Her Experience About ‘Dhwani’

Ever since her recent critically acclaimed movie ‘Dhwani’ got screened at the recently concluded Bengaluru International Film Festival, actress Iti Acharya has been receiving immense praise for her performance. The movie, unlike other stories, focuses on raising the voice of men in today’s world where they have been unfairly undermined by women.  The flick which was directed by Sebastin David shows the Rajasthani beauty playing the character with shades of gray.

Talking about the movie, the ‘Deal Raja’ actress said, “Initially, I was apprehensive about taking up the film, but when I heard the script, I just could not digest the fact that situations like this even existed. It is based on a real life incident, and how it affects the lives of the many others connected to it. After Chandan, the hero and Krishnegowda Sir convinced me, I agreed to the role, and the experience has been simply phenomenal. The kind of response the film has received has overwhelmed me.”

Besides Iti, the movie also starred Chandan Sharma in the lead. On the work front, the model-turned actress will be next seen in a Hindi flick titled ‘Satyavati’. The movie will be based on gang rape.
