Telugu star J.D. Chakravarthy is going to make his debut in a Kannada film soon. The actor has been roped in for a project Ravani, which is Pooja Gandhi's production. Reportedly, Chakravarthy will play both, hero as well as villain in the film.

The project is helmed by the actor’s namesake, D.J. Chakravarthy. The director told Bangalore Mirror, “He is so very knowledgeable about every aspect of film-making. He said he would accept the role only if he liked the totality of the story and not just based on the role he is playing. In the end, he also liked the role he is playing which has two shades. He is in fact both the hero and villain in the story. After listening to the entire narrative, he asked 35 specific questions recalling from memory. He unfolded the script through his questions. It was impressive”.

On being asked about his choice of actor, D.J. Chakravarthy said, “We needed such a personality. He can carry off both positive and negative roles. He suits it. It is a mixture of violence and violin, so to say”.
