Kani Kusruti Talks About Her Maiden Kannada Film

Kani Kusruti is a famous name in the Malayalam and Kollywood industry. The actress has made a mark for herself and her roles got her noticed by mainstream audiences. Kani has now decided to enter other entertainment genres too and is all set to make her debut in Sandalwood with her maiden Kannada movie.

Talking about the script of her Kannada film, "I've been working on this for five years. There has been a lot of research and layering that has gone into it. A large part of the film deals with animal behaviour and genetics. Like Memories of a Machine, it will be shot in guerilla technique. The film will be shot 90% in Bengaluru and also in Hampi. In fact, we have a character who is introduced from Hampi in the film, which will make us relook at our perceptions towards external beauty and gender roles".

For the film, the actress is teaming up with filmmaker Shailaja Padindala, with whom she worked in short film Memories of a Machine. The first look of the film was released recently which impressed the audiences. If reports are to be believed, the trailer of the film will be released in April.
