    Here good news for all the Sandalwood lovers. A 2016 Indian Kannada drama film, Thithi, has been awarded best Indian film of 2016. The Film Critics Circle of India has conferred Thithi with the Best Indian Film of 2016. The Circle is a society comprising notable film critics from all the major film-producing states of India.

    Helmed by Raam Reddy, the film is a light-hearted story about three generations of men reacting to the death of their 101-year old patriarch. Story of the film is being set in the Nodekoppalu village in Mandya district. The film is being jointly bankrolled by Pratap Reddy from Prspctvs Productions and Sunmin Park from Maxmedia.

    The news was announced by the director himself on his social media account. The movie has already won many awards and this has just added a feather in its cap. Thithi also won the best film award at the first BRICS Film Festival concluded in New Delhi.
