Karnik’s Daangadi Shoot Wraps Up

Siddaram Karnik is easily finding his foot in the role of director and actor. It started with when writer by profession, Karnik wrote the content for ‘Rama Bai’…first wife of Ambedkar Kannada cinema. It was here when Karnik tried his hands in acting and portrayed the character of Dr Ambedkar himself.

Now, he has wrapped up the shoot of Daangadi, where he is directing and acting in the flick. The team launched the movie on August 2 and closed it within 28 days. The flick has just four characters, with two permanent roles of driver and conductor in it.

Daangadi has mix of past and present, where other characters in the movie are played by Kanakalakshmi, Sanjeev and Jayasurya. Interestingly, there would be no songs in the film and a lawyer by profession, Surendra Hoogur is producing the movie. The flick will go through its post production and is expected to hit cinemas in the early part of 2017.
