Kartik Jayaram Clarified About Using 'Superstar' Title In His Film

Well, Sandalwood’s audience considers Upendra is as the one and only ‘Superstar’. However, with the title now being used to refer to other actors, Upendra's fans are reportedly outraged. And now, Kartik Jayaram's new movie has him addressed as a Superstar.

Also, in the movie 'Mastigudi', Duniya Vijay was addressed as 'Superstar' on the title card. Upendra's fans took note of this and expressed their displeasure and demanded that the makers take out the title. And similarly, the fans take to social media and demand that the title is withdrawn. But Kartik has chosen to come forward and gave a clarification about the title and also send out an apology to fans.

He said, “I am a big fan of Upendra, I have seen many movies of his movies on the first day. I am not a great actor like him, I don't prefer the Superstar title. I understand that fans are frustrated. The Superstar title is not given on the title card, it is given on the basis of what happens in the movie, that's why it's in the movie. I apologize if the fans have got hurt”.
