Manasu Mallige Is A Fresh Movie: Director S Narayan

Manasu Mallige is the remake of Marathi film Sairat. The film emerged as the biggest weekend opener for a Marathi film breaking record previously held by Natsamrat.  The film has become the first Marathi film to gross over 100 crore worldwide. As the Kannada version of Sairat is releasing today, the makers are all excited to see the result. Director S Narayan said that the film would be a Ugadi treat to the fans.

Talking more about the film, Narayan said, "It will be like habba oota, as Manasu Mallige will give audiences a complete cinematic experience. It is a fresh movie, with good acting and very good music. Audiences will get to experience in-depth love with this film, which also shows what happens when one falls in love fearing their parents. The movie has been shot only in Karnataka and shows the beauty of the state. Also, this film will make everyone realize that S Narayan is still in the industry (laughs)".

Original Sairat actress Rinku Rajguru will reprise her role in Manasu Mallige too. When asked if she found any difficulty while working on the Kannada version, she said, "There weren't too many differences. Language was an issue, for which I attended a workshop before we began shooting so that I could familiarize myself with Kannada. I told everyone to speak to me in Kannada”.

Actor Nishanth will play the male lead opposite Rinku. The film is being bankrolled by Zee Studios along with Rockline Productions. The film is expected to create the same magic that Sairat created last year. Well we too hope that!
