Manasu Mallige To Create Sairat’s Magic Again

Who isn’t aware of the Marathi film Sairat. The film emerged as the biggest weekend opener for a Marathi film breaking record previously held by Natsamrat.  The film has become the first Marathi film to gross over 100 crore worldwide. In its Kannada version, director S. Narayan is all prepped up to bring back the magic that original Sairat created.

The film is being bankrolled by Zee Studios along with Rockline Productions. Suniel Wadhwa from Zee Studios talked about the association with Rockline Productions, "Manasu Mallige is a remake of the Marathi film Sairat, which not just rewrote history at the box office, but also won accolades. We wanted to partner with like-minded makers who would passionately remake the film in another language. At our first meeting, Rockline Venkatesh told us that he wanted to retain the soul of the film, as well as the music by Ajay-Atul. The technicians working on the project were top class and that's why the South remake rights were given as co-production to Rockline Productions. Looking at the way the film has taken shape, we are glad to have him as our partner".

The film is slated for a release on March 31. Actress Rinku Rajguru will reprise her role from the original in the film, whereas, actor Nishanth will play the male lead. While the soundtrack and score is by Ajay-Atul, the cinematography is by Manohar Joshi.
