‘Masterpiece’ Shoot for Bhagat Singh Coincides With His Birthday

It was Bhagat Singh’s birthday on September 28 when the team of upcoming Kannada action film Masterpiece were busy shooting for scenes related to the freedom fighter. Talking of the co-incident, director Manju Mandavya said, “It was not planned. We were so involved in our shooting and we realised only when a few students, who came to the sets, mentioned it. We felt quite patriotic when we shot those scenes on his birthday”.

The shooting of the action thriller film is about to finish. “I am glad that the movie’s schedule went on as planned. It wouldn’t have been possible without team work. Yash, the producer along with the technicians have worked painstakingly, but we have a lot more to do in bringing out a good product”, said the director. The team is looking forward to start shooting for a song, next.

The shooting of the film is going on in Mysore. Besides Yash, Shanvi Srivastava will also be seen playing a lead role in the flick. The Hombale Films production also features Suhasini Mani as female lead. The makers are eyeing for a year-end release of the flick.
