My Character In Mugulu Nage Is Completely Different: Apoorva Arora

Apoorva Arora made her acting debut at a very small age and is now one of the most sought after actresses in Kannada film industry. The actress made her Sandalwood debut with romantic film, Siddhartha, helmed by Prakash of Milana fame. She has now bagged another Kannada flick which is of romantic comedy genre.

Talking about her role in the flick, she said, “I play Charulatha, a farmer. She looks after her family and is a very sarcastic person. She breaks many stereotypes in this film and smashes patriarchy in her own way, which is what I really like about her. I had a lot of fun essaying her, since I have never got a chance to play such a character. Because of how I look, I get offered cute, bubbly roles. But Charulatha is completely different, so I had to dig really deep to do justice to the role”.

Helmed by Yogaraj Bhat, the flick is being jointly bankrolled by Ganesh and Syed Salaam. Apart from Apoorva, the film also features Ganesh, Nikitha Narayan and Ashika Ranganath in the lead roles. This is the third time that Yogaraj Bhat and Ganesh will be collaborating for a flick after Mungaru Male and Gaalipata.
