Director P Satya Prakash has got Vasuki Vaibhav and Nobin Paul on board to compose the music and background score of his second film, Ondalla Eradalla. The director did not want the composers to follow the regular format of having situational numbers. This time, he wishes something which can be enjoyed by the children and would act as their anthem.

“My brief was simple — the music had to be in narrative style, taking the story forward. Our very first song plays during the title credits at the beginning of the film. The song, Haadalu Ondu Raaga Beku, Baalalu Ondaagabeku (We need a tune to sing and need to be together to live), fixes the mood of the film and explains what Ondalla Eradalla is about to audiences. Both Vasuki and Nobin had seen the film and were familiar with the subject, so I gave them the lyrics to the song and asked them to make sure that it would become an anthem that children would enjoy and sing along to,” explains Satya Prakash.

The makers released the song with visuals of the audition process of his protagonist on Tuesday evening. “The lead character of Ondalla Eradalla is a young boy called Sameera, in search of whom we auditioned close to 1,500 kids across Karnataka. We eventually zeroed-in on Rohith from Pandavapura, who was the last candidate from our Mysuru auditions. The visuals depict the innocence and talent of the children and complement the Haadalu Ondu Raaga Beku song perfectly,” said the director.
