    Actor Prakash Raj, who is currently shooting for his upcoming Malayalam film Odiyan in Palakkad to doesn’t have any interest in politics. Recently, the actor was seen with thespian Prasanna going on hunger strike demanding exemption of GST for all handmade products and that lead him to visit  Karavali, where he received the Kota Shivaram Karanth award.



    The 52-year-old actor said, “If Dakshina Kannada claims me as their boy for Guddada Bhootha, Tamil Nadu can stake a claim over me for Iruvar and Telangana can do so for the social causes that I'm involved with projects there and Bollywood can also put forth another association. I am a true global citizen that way, so even without belonging to a particular place, everybody can claim their pound of flesh off me”.



    Moreover, the actor has always spoken upfront about politics and his lack of interest in it many times. He revealed that when he had started out with Guddada Bhootha he was a nobody. Only after he entered theatre, acting, literature, social work and wildlife conservation at various significant stages in his life, everything changed. When asked about his intentions to join politics, he said, “I'd rather be a crusader and speak my mind than enter politics and get slotted. I have absolutely no interest in politics”.
