Tollywood film Loukyam is all set to be remade in Kannada. Sandalwood star Chiranjeevi Sarja and actress Amulya have apparently been roped in to play the lead roles in the romantic flick titled Ramleela. Interestingly, Chiru and Amulya have been teamed up for the first time and Amulya seems to be excited to share the screen space with the Whistle actor.

"I watched the original and liked it. A lot of changes are being made for the Kannada version, in terms of the dialogues and presentation of certain scenes. Also, despite being in the same film industry, Chiranjeevi and I have never met. So, I'm looking forward to working with him," reveals the actress, while speaking to a leading English daily.

Talking about her character, Amulya says, "In the first half of the film, I play a bold college student who teases and rags the girls and boys in her college. In the second half, though, the film turns into a complete family entertainer with a lot of situational comedy."

Directed by Vijaykiran, Ramleela will be majorly shot in Bengalore.  The multi-starrer entertainer is likely to feature around 30 popular actors, including Rangaynana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila and Chikkanna. Amulya is expected to join the team in the next month.
