    Ramya Pens Letter To PM Modi Asking Him To Intervene In Cauvery Water Dispute

    Ramya has turned out to be a very controversial star after her statements and remarks regarding Pakistan. Lately, she is in headlines because of a letter. The 33-year-old actress has asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in the Cauvery water-sharing dispute. The actress turned politician wrote a letter to the PM.

    She started her letter as, “We all know by now that the Cauvery dispute is based on a faulty agreement. There are certain changes and alterations to be made, most importantly on distress sharing- for eg read the Final Order of the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal dated 05.02.2007.”

    In fact, she tweeted regarding this issues a little earlier also. She then tweeted, “Supreme Court order is disheartening- The Centre @PMOIndia must intervene, get the states together for a dialogue. Violence is not the solution to the problem. Violence begets violence.” Ramya joined the Indian Youth Congress in 2011 and became the Indian National Congress’ Member of Parliament from Mandya constituency in Karnataka by winning the by-election in 2013.

    Desimartini hopes that the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, heeds Ramya’s request.
