Roopa Iyer’s Film ‘Colors’ Bags An Award At International Film Festival

Actress-danseuse-filmmaker Roopa Iyer must be on cloud right now. Her recent film, ‘Colors’, which was sent to over 90 festivals across the globe, just received its first global acknowledgment. The children's film was awarded the Best Foreign Film at the Hollywood International Film Festival.

Roopa says, "This is a prestigious film festival at which they get around 1,500 films from across the world, and select only 10% to be screened. On Tuesday, we heard that we were semifinalists, and on March 1 they declared us winner. As filmmakers, we dream of making a film in Hollywood, now I feel so happy to share this news proudly that we have won an award in Hollywood."

Roopa is not only a socially meticulous film director, actor (TV and Film), dancer, choreographer, model and a business executive, but is also deeply passionate for humanitarianism and philanthropy. She is looking forward to the award ceremony. Wow! What a proud moment for the Kannada industry. Desimartini extends their heartiest congratulations to the filmmaker for her success.
