Suni Experiments With Thriller In His Next

After exploring romantic and political genres, director Suni is exploring a different genre this time.  His two movies Simpallag Ond Love Story and Simpallag Innondh Love Story were romantic, while his movie with Bahuparaak was a political one. However, the director is experimenting with a blend of thriller and comedy with his next.

"I want to be able to make films in all genres. As a filmmaker, thrillers intrigue me and I thought it would be interesting to weave a dark comedy into it. But even though I had the basic plot line in place, making it into a workable script was tedious. I had many brainstorming sessions with my team, as the thing about comedy is that what you find funny may not be so for another. It is very difficult to make people laugh. We had to make sure that the situational comedy in our film works for all audiences,” said Suni.

Suni is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie Operation Alamelamma, which is set for July 21, 2017 release. The flick is set is Bengaluru with nearly half of the film shot at a police station. The story revolves around the protagonist who dreams of big even though he is just a vendor in a market. Suni has roped in a newbie, Rishi, as the main lead.
