Oscar-winning musician A R Rahman is making a comeback to Mollywood after a long hiatus of 25 years. A. R Rahman’s father RK Shekar was once a well-known music director of Mollywood. The music maestro will compose music for directors Blessy and Prithviraj ’s upcoming film Aadujeevitham, which is based on Benyamin’s novel of the same name.

The last Mollywood film for which AR Rahman composed the music was Sangeeth Sivan's Yoddha. The musician confirmed about the same on January 16 at Dubai. He said, “I'm working with director Blessy for Aadujeevitham. It is a beautiful story."

Blessy tells that he has roped in the musical genius as the film demands a big space for music since its plot revolves around a man being isolated completely."The lone man undergoes different experiences from seclusion, emotional conflicts and survival struggles. Only AR can bring about the kind of music that can capture the different emotional and spiritual levels of an isolated man. More than dialogues, music has a great role to play in the film. So the background score should be perfect and it should be of international standard," he said. The flick will have a mixture of different genres of music such as Arabic, western and Indian.

The team will begin shooting for the flick by the end of February.
