    Anjana Chandran Talks About Crossroad

    Australian born Anjana Chandran was recently seen in the film Crossroad for which she praised for her brilliant mono acts. She was lauded for switching between her characters with so much ease.  Crossroad is an anthology of ten stories that revolved around ten women facing ten different life situations and is directed by ten different directors. Anjana was seen in the short film Pinpe Nadappaval in the anthology which was directed by Lenin Rajendran.



    Anjana played the role of a young girl who was brought up in an orthodox Muslim family and was married off. The actress was required to have a Kozhikodean accent in the film. Though she is fluent in Malayalam, but had difficulty in speaking in Kozhikodean accent. “I remember how much I was struggling, but Madhu sir and Lenin sir did not discourage me one bit. They told me to keep going and that kind of faith motivated me throughout the filmmaking,” said Chnadran.



    She added, “Not only did the assistant directors and Lenin sir help me, but Joy Mathew sir (who also plays the role of my theatre director in the film) was a great help when it came to teaching me how to master this dialect. Also, having to place myself in the shoes of a very young girl brought up in an orthodox Muslim family who was being married off, was very challenging for me because at some level, I had to identify with that character.”
