Dileep Will Have Strong Political Lineage In Ramaleela

Dileep is currently shooting for his next flick titled ‘Ramleela’ which is being directed by Arun Gopy. The movie will have the actor play a politician once again, after his 2006 film ‘Lion’. Not just that, his character will have a strong political lineage as well. Raadhika Sarathkumar, who will be playing Dileep’s mother in the film, will also have a politically active background.

“Her character is called Sakhaavu Ragini. She's a strong-willed woman who is politically active and involves herself in the social affairs in the place she resides. That's also the reason behind her nickname Sakhaavu”, the director shared. He added that the mother-son relationship is a major aspect of the flick.

Dileep has wrapped up his Palakkad and Ernakulam schedules for the film and the team will now move to Goa, Maharashtra and Maldives. Dileep plays an MLA in the film which also stars Mukesh, Salim Kumar, Vijayaraghavan, Prayaga Martin, Siddique, Kalabhavan Shajon and Suresh Krishna. ‘Ramleela’ will be Arun’s directorial debut and will also mark Raadhika's Mollywood comeback after 24 years.
