Filmmaker Vidhu Vincet’s feature film ‘Manhole’ released to extremely welcoming reviews. She was also bestowed with the Kerala State Film Award for the best director. According to recent reports, the director is all set with her next venture.

Having served as a director, writer, journalist and theatre activist, one can assume that Vidhu Vincent is a powerhouse of talent and knowledge. Her second film is likely to deal with the gender issue. Recently, the director revealed about the film’s cast. “Rima Kallingal and Surabhi Lakshmi will be a part of this film”, she said.

She became the first President of Penkoottu, an organization which highlights the plight of women employees in the unorganized sector. Vidhu’s debut film was based on the manual scavenging in Kerala.
