Geetu Mohandas’s upcoming Indian bilingual film ‘Moothon’ will star Nivin Pauly in the lead role, and Shashank Arora and Sobitha Dhulipala in other significant roles. The film will be Mohandas’s first feature length project in Mollywood as a director. Based on a teenager’s search for her elder brother, the film will be simultaneously shot in Malayalam and Hindi.

Touching upon the flick, Geetu stated, “My movie doesn't adhere to the concept of lead heroes and heroines. It's about a young boy Mulla in search of his older brother Akbar and all the other characters come incidental to the story telling”. The director also revealed that the makers have found a “very enterprising boy to play Mulla”. However, the name hasn’t been disclosed yet. “It's going to be a big surprise”, Geetu stated.

Revealing about Nivin’s role, Geetu said, “He doesn't have a name per se. He plays one of those interesting characters that you come across in the downtrodden, decadent parts of Mumbai, such as the red light district of Kamathipura, where we shot extensively”.

On a relate note, the Mumbai schedule of the flick wrapped up a few weeks ago. The second schedule will be shot in Lakshadweep in September or October.
