Had To Do A Lot Of Research For Jacobinte Swargarajyam: Vineeth Sreenivasan

Director Vineeth Sreenivasan has recently confessed that his upcoming film Jacobinte Swargarajyam is the toughest of his career so far. Sreenivasan said that it is the first time that he has attempted a family-centric film. “It was a script I couldn't work on, purely based on my experience from my previous movies like Thattathin Marayathu and Oru Vadakkan Selfie”, he said.

The director further said, “Those movies were focused on the youth and I could relate to the experiences as I had gone through that phase myself. Only 20 per cent of those films had elderly characters”. The movie revolves around a Dubai-based family which includes a middle-aged couple and their kids, played by Nivin Pauly, Master Stacen Varghese, Sreenath Bhasi and Aina.

“Their world is different from mine. The conversations between them, their personalities, traits and the whole Christian NRI world are not subjects that I have had first-hand experience with. So, I had to do a lot of research for the project”, he added.
