Jayaram Talks About Completing 30 Years In Film Industry

Actor Jayaram, who started off his career with Malayalam movie Aparan in 1988, completes three decades in the film industry. After a making a mark in Mollywood, the actor made his debut in Telugu film industry with the recently released Bhaagamathie. The flick starred Anushka Shetty in the lead role.

Talking about it, he said, “In the last 30 years, I have got many offers from the Telugu film industry. I remember, 25 years ago after my Tamil movie Purusha Lakshanam, many big directors had approached me to do the Telugu remake of the movie as well. But I wasn't confident with the language.”  But the 52-year-old said that since G Ashok, the director of Bhaagamathie, knew little Malayalam and Tamil, therefore he confidently dubbed in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil for the movie.

He will next be seen in the film Panchavarnathatta, which is directed by debutant director Ramesh Pisharody. The movie will star Jayaram in a completely different avatar. He will play the role of a pet shop owner and had to shave off his head for his character. He also has Tamil movie Party with Jai, Sathyaraj and Regina Cassandra in his kitty.
