Lijo Jose's Jallikattu To Premier At Toronto Film Festival

The Much anticipated Jallikattu is set to have its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in Canada this year. The festival is set to begin on the 5th of September and ends of the 15th.

Directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery Jallikattu is one of the most anticipated Malayalam movies of the year. Lijo Jose who previously directed The critically acclaimed Ea. ma.Yau and Angamaly Diaries.

According to Tiff official website, the official synopsis reads: "A bold new voice in Malayalam cinema, Lijo Jose Pellissery presents a portrait of a remote village in his hometown where a buffalo escapes and causes a frenzy of ecstatic violence."

The page also included a few stills from the movie which set the mood of the film as dark and gritty. Jallikattu is based on the short story Maoist written by S Hareesh. The Film stars Antony Varghese, Chemban Vinod Jose, and Sabumon Abdusamad.
