Mammootty Joins The Team Of 'Madhuraraja' On The Sets

Megastar Mammootty has joined the cast on the film sets of the much-awaited upcoming film 'Madhuraraja'. The film is a sequel to the mass entertainer 'Pokkiriraja' in which the megastar plays the lead role of Raja. There are no changes in the directional team as Hitmaker Vysakh will return to direct this sequel.

Mammootty is expected to join the sets by August 20 but due to the worsening condition of the state which was affected by heavy rains and floods, the actor didn’t make it. Mammootty joined several other Malayalam celebrities to promote relief activities in flood-affected areas. The shooting of the film is now progressing at Cherayi beach in Ernakulam.

'Pokkiriraja' had Prithviraj playing a pivotal role along with Mammootty. However, as per the reports, Prithvi won't be a part of the sequel. Well, Kollywood actor Jay will play a lead role in the upcoming film. Other than him, Anusree, Mahima Nambiyar, Shamna Kasim will play female leads in the movie. R K Suresh, Nedumudi Venu, Salim Kumar, Aju Varghese, Dharmajan, Biju Kuttan, Siddique, M R Gopakumar, Bala, Kailash, Nobi, Balachandran Chullikkad will play important roles in the movie along with a glittering cast from the Tamil film industry. The movie will be released in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu simultaneously.
