Mariam Mukku to release tomorrow amidst tough competition

Fahad Fazil starrer Mariam Mukku is all set to hit theatres on January 23, the day three more movies are slated to release. The film reportedly marks the directorial debut of state award winning popular screen-writer James Albert. Vikramadhithyan fame Sana Althaf will apparently play the lead actress opposite Fahadh in the movie.

Other actors like Thyagarajan, Samudrakkani, Nedumudi Venu, Aju Varghese, Sreenivasan, Tini Tom, Irshad, Saddique, Suja Menon, Seema G Nair, Devi Ajith, and Neena Kurup will also play pivotal roles in the film.

Produced by Sam Big Movies and distributed by L J Films, the film revolves around a fishermen community along the fictional coastal area of Mariam Mukku. With the beautiful visuals and mind-blowing music, the film has all the ingredients of a love story.

However, Mariam Mukku is set to clash with other major releases of the year as Prithviraj starrer Pcket 43, Amala Paul starrer Mili and Mohanlal – Indrajith starrer Rasam are slated to hit the screens on the same day.

Though, the industry began on a dull note in 2015, but with such multiple releases, Mollywood is expected will regain its lost energy.
