Mohanlal To Essay Major Mahadevan’s Father

It is well-known to the audiences that Mohanlal will be seen essaying the role of Major Mahadevan in the upcoming fourth chapter of Major Mahadevan series. Now director Major Ravi has revealed that the story of the film will focus on his father, to be also played by Mohanlal. “While Mahadevan does appear in the movie, the key character will be his father, who was a Major when the 1971 war took place. He drives the story”, added the director.

The director has further revealed that Mohanlal will be seen in three different getups in the flick. “He will play Mahadevan's dad in 1971 and the contemporary era, and also Major Mahadevan. But you won't see both the father and son together in any scene”, he added.

About the movie’s plot, Ravi said, “While it will have battle scenes, the focus would be on the emotional turmoil the soldiers of both the fronts go through”. Ravi said that the film is slated to go on floors in May. He added, “We are waiting for permission from the Army to film in areas at Rajasthan sector and Punjab border”.
