Mohanlal Talks About ‘Special Bond’ With Priyadarshan

There are many great examples of friendship in the industry but nothing can be compared with the 38-year-long bond of Mohanlal and Priyadarshan. From their first film together to their upcoming venture ‘Oppam’, Mohanlal recently shared how their bond has grown stronger with time. “We lived in the same neighbourhood in Poojappura and so knew each other since childhood. It wasn't cinema which connected us, and we fell in love with movies only much later”, the superstar said in a candid interview with a leading daily.

He continued, “I was part of Priyan's first film and 38 years later I am still part of his movie. I think that is a testament to our relationship. Friendship is accepting a person with all their qualities - good and bad. We share that kind of respect for each other”.

About the duo’s upcoming project, Mohanlal said, “Oppam is our 40th film together. Priyan is someone who has given superhits. Every actor or director has their ups and downs. One or two of his movies failing at the box office doesn't change the fact that he's one of the best directors in the country. Some of my best movies have been with him. We share a good chemistry and both of us know what we want from each other. About me giving him dates without question, Priyan doesn't come to me to make a bad movie”. Now the audiences are eagerly waiting for 'Oppam', which is scheduled to hit the screens around Onam.
