Mohanlal To Star In Kayamkulam Kochunni

Director Rosshan Andrrews is preparing for his upcoming movie titled Kayamkulam Kochunni . The movie has actor Nivin Pauly playing the titular role of the legendary highwayman. And now it is revealed that makers have roped in Mohanlal to essay the role of folk hero Ithikkara Pakki.

This will be the first time that the two superstars will be sharing screen space. Bobby and Sanjay have penned the script for the film. Earlier, there were rumours that Mohanlal will appear in a cameo in the movie. However, the director refuted all the rumours stating, "He will be playing the role of Ithikkara Pakki, whose importance cannot be understated when we are narrating the story of Kayamkulam Kochunni. Pakki was the first legendary Robin Hood of Kerala and he and Kochunni were contemporaries, so Lalettan has a major role in the movie."

Mohanlal will join the sets by the end of January or early February. He will be part of schedules which will be shot in Mangalore, Goa and Sri Lanka. Apart from the two superstars, the flick will also feature Priya Anand, Sunny Wayne, Priyanka Thimmesh and Babu Antony in pivotal roles. The team has completed 70 days of shoot and will work for another 60 days. "It's a big movie as we are trying to get every details of the period perfect, said Andrrews.
