    Mollywood Co-Star, Director Recalls Legendary Actress Sridevi

    Legendary actress Sridevi ’s death has come as a shock to the people not only in the film industry but also the general public.  It is a loss to the whole film fraternity that Sridevi is no more. The actress had a major cardiac arrest on Saturday night and when taken to the hospital, she was declared brought dead.



    The actress had worked in all the film industry including Mollywood. And her co-star Nedumudi Venu remembers working with the late actress. She made her comeback in Mollywood with the 1996 film Devaragam. Venu said, “From the time I was just a film viewer, she was one of my favourite actresses. It’s often tough to be blessed with both beauty and talent; she had both. When I had acted with her in Devaragam, she was always humble and yet sophisticated in her ways. It was easy to work with her.



    He further added, “Malayalam wasn’t a language she was fluent in, even though she had won much recognition for her films here. Devaragam was her return to Malayalam after becoming a Bollywood superstar and yet she was dedicated to learning the language to give her lines without prompting. That was what made her stand out throughout her career. Her demise was more painful because she was just 54 years old”. Meanwhile, director VK Prakash, who had recently worked with the actress recently for an ad said that it was a beautiful experience working with Sridevi.  He also said that it was really interesting to speak to her.
