Namitha Pramod, who is known for playing some memorable roles in movies like ‘Vikramadityan’ and ‘Adi Kappyare Kootamani’, opens up on why she isn't a part of Women in Cinema Collective (WCC). The actress does not want to get involved in any controversy. The actress never shared her opinions on controversial subjects because of the same reason.

According to reports, Namitha said she isn't part of the collective, but added that she will support the collective if felt right. Namitha also added that she doesn't have many friends in the industry and believes that talent is the basic criteria to excel in the cinema. She also feels that it is unnecessary to get involved in unwanted controversies.

WCC is a collective formed after the actress abduction case happened in Kochi. It was established to address the issues faced by women in Malayalam cinema. Namitha even said Dileep is a co-actor who she is very comfortable working with. Notably, Dileep was one of the main accused in an actress abduction case.
