Prithviraj: Ivide doesn’t ‘adhere to the normal Malayalam cinema norms’

Malayalam film industry has witnessed a big change in the recent past. Many new comers have taken over the Mollywood industry, taking over the conventional actors. The one actor that has retained his position, despite of many controversies and reinvented himself with every role is Prithviraj.

Talking of his next release Ivide, he told TOI, “It was exciting to work on it because it was something which hasn't been tried out before. I took it up knowing very well what I was going in for; that it won't adhere to the normal Malayalam cinema norms. We've tried to stay as true to the script as possible and achieved that too”.

When Prithviraj was asked how he feels to be on the top, he said, “I don't think too much on those lines; I keep things simple. I started my career when I was 18 and now I'm 32. I'm a lot different from what I was then; I have evolved a lot in the last 13 years. As an actor, I try to stay current and significant, like in any other field. And it's a natural evolution”.The actor also revealed who he discusses cinema with. He said, “My brother, Indrajith. It's not like we take advice from each other, but we do talk about cinema a lot. We have many more interesting things to talk about besides cinema, of course”.
