Priyadarshan Denies Rumours Of Working With Mammootty and Dileep

Rumours were doing the rounds that filmmaker Priyadarshan had two upcoming Malayalam films. While one was with Mohanlal, which was a sport-based film, other was with Mammotty. Just as the director said that he would work on the film with a complete script, another news surfaced that the Mammootty project will also have comedian Dileep playing the lead.

However when contacted with Priyadarshan about his project with Mammootty and Dileep in the lead he denied saying that he has no idea where it emerged from.  "There's no such film," said the director. He further said that there were talks of working with Mammootty in a project but nothing has been finalised yet.

Mammootty, Dileep and Priyadarshan had earlier collaborated for the movie Mekham which released in 1999. Both Mammootty and Dileep are said to share a good rapport with each other. The successful lead pair also teamed up for Kammath and Kammath in 2013.

Mammootty is currently shooting for Ajai Vasudevan's campus thriller, while Dileep is touring in the USA for a stage show.
