Sreenivasan And Dhyan To Collaborate For Kuttymama

Sreenivasan has earlier teamed up with his elder son Vineeth this year in Aravindante Athidhikal and is now all set to collaborate with Dhyan. The two are teaming up for VM Vinu’s upcoming directorial titled Kuttymama. The film will also mark the first time that the veteran actor is working with his younger son.

Talking about the film, the director said, “The movie is about a jawan, his life and certain incidents in the Kargil war that leaves a lasting impact on him. The story is told through humour and is a family entertainer. Sreenivasan and Dhyan play important roles with Durga Krishna of Vimaanam fame being the heroine”. Fans must have heard the title before as it was the name of Jagathy’s character addressing MS Thripunithura’s in Yodha.

When it was asked whether it has any connection to the film, he says, “No. Sreenivasan plays the jawan named Shekharankutty but everyone in his family and those close to him, call him Kuttymama; hence the title”. The film will go on floors by August. Moreover, Varun will crank the camera for the film and Achu Rajamoni will handle the music department. Other than this, Surabhi Lakshmi, Premkumar and Harish Kanaran are also part of the film, which will be shot in Kollengode, Palakkad.
