Vimanam Goes On Floors

Prithviraj’s Vimanam has been in the headlines since the past few years, as it is Saji Thomas biopic, a deaf-mute who overpowered his disability and built an aircraft. Earlier, it was reported that team of Vimanam had filed a provisional ban at the Munsiff court staying the release of Vineeth Sreenivasan's Aby stating that the latter was inspired from the true story of hearing and speech-impaired Saji M Thomas. However, the injunction was dismissed by the court. The recent development is that the shooting of Vimanam has begun.

Before commencing the shooting of the film, the makers had organized a private ceremony for the film in Kochi on Sunday. Pooja was performed in the ceremony. The film is helmed by journalist turned filmmaker Pradeep.M.Nair. Vimanam, will be produced under Listin Stephen’s banner the Magic Frames.

Listin Stephen’s earlier productions include Traffic, Chappa Kurish, How Old Are You, Ustad Hotel and Maari. The event was also graced by Gopi Sunder, who composes the sound tracks for the film. Desimartini wishes strokes of luck to the team.
