After a hiatus of nearly two decades, National Award-winning filmmaker and music director Vishal Bhardwaj is marking his comeback to Mollywood. He has been roped in to score music for director Venu's forthcoming film Carbon. The film stars Fahadh Faasil and Mamta Mohandas in the lead.

Siby Thottapuram, who is close to the unit, says, "Venu has roped in Vishal for handling the music department while K U Mohanan, who has cranked the camera for Shah Rukh Khan's Raees and his latest film with Imitiaz Ali, will be the cinematographer for Carbon." Also, the source added that the film will go on floors in July and it is touted that some portions will be shot inside a forest. The film, which is tipped to be an entertainer, features Fahadh as a rustic lad.

Meanwhile, Fahadh will also be seen in G Marthandan's next and Mohan Raja's Velaikkaran. Vishal had earlier composed the music for a Malayalam film, Daya in 1998 that featured Manju Warrier. Vishal's has hits like Oh Saathi Re and Beedi Jalayile in Omkara, Ibn-E-Batuta in Ishqiya and Go Charlie Go in Kaminey to his credit.
