Actor Vishnu Govindan catapulted into stardom after playing the character of Jomey in the film ‘Oru Mexican Aparatha’. His character of Jomey is considered as the unforgettable one. And now the actor is a busy man with five movies in his kitty. "Yes, a number of the movies I am part of is releasing in the coming months," says Vishnu.
His ‘Lava Kusha’ which is directed by Gireesh Mano is releasing today. After ‘Lava Kusha’, Vishnu will be seen in ‘Villain’ which will hit theatres on October 27 followed by ‘Goodalochana’ which releases in the first week of November. Thereafter, he will be seen in ‘Punyalan Agarbattis 2’ which will release in the second week of November and then in ‘Vimaanam’, whose release date has not been decided yet.
Vishu said that all the offers started pouring in after he did ‘Oru Mexican Aparatha’. Talking about ‘Villain’, Govindan said, “It is an investigative thriller and my character is quite important in the story. I do have a few scenes with Lalettan; the combination sequence was shot for 2-3 days and I must say it was quite an experience. I was obviously tense and worried.”
Though all these movies will see him playing him a humorous character, however there is another movie ‘Premasoothram’ directed by Jiju Ashokan which will see him in a negative role. He is currently shooting for ‘Premasoothram’. The actor does not only want to do comedy roles, but also wants to do other roles.
Vishnu is also excited about his own project titled ‘History of Joy’, feature film, which stars Vishnu Vinay, son of director Vinayan. Vishnu has directed as well as written the script for the film. He co-wrote the script with his friend Anoop from CUSAT. The movie will release soon.
