To fall in love with the imperfections of life is an important lesson that goes on forever. We learn though a variety of experiences both good and bad but once in a blue moon comes a movie that carefully untangles some of our major dilemmas related to life and makes us feel that we belong. It’s true we love the over the top action, drama, romance and emotions that Bollywood has to offer but then the industry surprises us by churning out a relatable life story and we fall in love with life.

Addressing the pressure, stress and confusions that we live with in the 21^st century are not easy to reflect in a movie. But here movies that beautifully reflected life as we know it.

1. 3 Idiots – If you love what you do then you won’t be working another day in your life. This simple fact takes a lot of hardships to realize and sink in. Either this sinks in or we compromise and accept the issues as the hardships of life. If there is one movie that taught this beautiful lesson, it was this. Weaved into a story of friendship Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi did a fabulous job with this one.

If do not follow what your heart tells you today, face your fears, do what you love then life is simply passing you by while you are sitting and just planning. Zoya Akthar broke this news to us in a beautiful road trip with three friends in Spain. The film simply blew us away and all these lessons became really integral part of our lives.

3. English Vinglish – There is no age to learn, grow or to discover yourself and if your're determined then there is no stopping you. A middle aged mother of two decides to take lessons in English and surprises everyone who ever undermined her. Sridevi played the character so convincingly, it touched our hearts.

Wake Up Sid – If you’re 20 something, confused about what to do in life, Ranbir’s life dilemmas will be really relatable, urging you forward to discover and follow your passion and love all the small and meaningful things and gestures.The film will definitely leave you with a smile on your face and determination in your mind.

5. Queen – When you have nothing, you have yourself and have to dust yourself up and fall in love with life, it is the most difficult journey to make. There so many experiences waiting out there for us to learn from if we just follow where our heart takes us. For Kangana in the movie, her broken engagement was the best thing that could have happened to her, as it was through it she embarked on a journey to discover herself and what see wants.

6. Lakshya– If you’re a person with ever altering life goals and have never stuck to one thing or a thought for very long, you must definitely love this movie. It only that one fine day story where you just set out to never be the same again and surprise yourself with how capable you are. This was the story of Hrithik Roshan’s character that really taught us to discover who we are.

That is the moment you have to make a call. The pleasure of small things in life can very be bought or replicated in fancy ambitions and home is home. Shah Rukh Khan’s dilemmas in the movie are very relatable when applied to your own situations.

8. Udaan – A beautiful film about chasing your dreams no matter what they might cost you.  It your determination the leads you and takes you places despite all hardships. Rohan’s dream to become a writer was above all the harsh behavior he had to endure from his father. He eventually sets himself free from him to do what he wants to do.

9. Highway – What if there is more to life than we know it to be. You might discover the means of life in the weirdest of places and situations. But when you do and have to get back your old life you might find you’re not the same anymore. This was the story of Alia Bhatt who discovers liberation and life after she is kidnapped.

10. Dil Chahta Hai –There are some lessons we learn the hard way when we lose something valuable. But rarely do we get the opportunity to fix what we did wrong in the past. We can be fun, foolish and crazy but eventually life happens and we have to grow up, accept our mistakes and always let those we value know how much we love them. A story of love and friendship this was perhaps a movie after which we grew up a little bit.
