6 Good Bollywood Films That Released In 2017, But Failed At The Box Office!

Most of us complain thaat Bollywood is degrading day by day and the content of Hindi cinema is going down. While there are a lot of films that does make use of slapstick comedy or crass jokes, action and dance and drama instead of quality content. Big names and grand sets add glamour to a film, but most of the times, they lack depth!

But that is not true for all films that relaeses in Bollywood. There had been a number of great movies high on content that released this year! But sadly, these films could not make a strong impact on the box-office, which means that we, the audience had been stupid enough to miss the gems. Well entertainment or content has always been a huge debate, but these 6 films were brilliant and needed more attention from us! Check out the list here:

1. Haramkhor

The film dealt with the relationship between a much married teacher and a class 9 student. The content of the film was disturbing and the CBFC said no to the film. But the film did not show something out of the world and such relations are actually a reality. The film was nuanced and real. Along with the great performances by Nawazuddin Siddique and Shweta Tripati .

2. Trapped

The film explored the stuggle of a guy stuck in an abandoned high rise with no food, water or help! It was a survival drama, and one of the firsts of its kind. On top of that the film was made brilliant by Vikramaditya Motwane's direction and Rajkummar Rao's acting. However, the film did not make a great impact on the box office.

3. Anaarkali Of Aarah

It is one of the finest films that explores how a 'naachne-gaane' wali from Aarah is prepared to go to any length to punish her harassers. She may not be the chaste woman that society revers, but she is an individual who has made choices of her own. But even if she is a woman who has had sexual relations with many, no body has the right to violate her or even touch her without permission. She was a film that everyone in the nation should have seen. However, the film hardly survived one week, despite good reviews!

4. Poorna: Courage Has No Limit

It was the biography of Poorna Malavath, the youngest girl to climb Everest. The film showed how a girl from a poor faamily and from a plain land like Andra struggled and made her way to the Everest, only through her hard work and dedication.The film beautifully captured her jouney and this was an inspiring film!

5. Mukti Bhawan

The film was praised for its brilliant handling of a subject that had deep philosophy and explored topics llike Salvation and enlightenment! This was a film that maintained balance all throughout. But then, the film failed to gather an audience base for itself.

6. A Death In The Gunj

Konakona Sensharma's directorial debut is a masterpiece that brilliantly deals with the subject of depression and how it grows on a person bit by bit! The storytelling was brilliant and so was the performance. Howver, the film had a very niche audience and had limited box office collection?
