7 Times Befikre Reminded Us Of These Bollywood Romantic Comedies

After waiting for a long haul, the audiences witnessed Befikre at the theatres on 9^th December and turns out the movie was that the movie was a bigger disappointment than any pessimist around us could have predicted. Another modern day romance telling the tale of two confused lovers it was and gave us major feels of so many romcoms we have seen in Bollywood before.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Befikre has major Rab Ne feels because of the dance off between Dharam and Shyra on Love is a dare song during the climax. It reminds you of the dance competition on instrumental tunes where Surinder Sahni and Tani dance and realize they’re in love.

Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayeinge

Dharam play his own trumpet (quite literally) on Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna at Shya’s engagement. Also the palat sequence has been recalled with a modern day twist.

Patalne ka intzaar toh ninetoes mein karte hai, i was just checking out his ass.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil 

Dharam sits down to say almost the same dialgoues like Ranbir says in ADHM.

 Pyar humara hero, dosti humari heroine.

In Befikre, Dharam says he thought he was the hero and she was the heroine but things went wrong and a third person came in between, which is synonymous to the ‘chaanta’ Ranbir talks about in ADHM. Looks like Adi and Karan wrote these scenes together, or these two are too similar.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

When the two realize what they want from life and relationship and mature over time. How they choose their career over commitment is pretty much a YJHD nostalgia trip. Also, when they both sit with their legs dipped in the fountain, it’s like frame by frame YJHD’s Aditi’s wedding sequences.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan

The Nashe Si Chadh Gayi dance by the dockyard reminds us a bit of Ishq Shava where Katrina sizzles in her hot moves. Here, Vaani Kapoor does a commendable job in dancing in her super sexy curves with Ranveer until the night ends, while they’re high on life and booze.

Ekk Main Aur Ekk Tu

Sipping their beers, talking about life, looking like a couple but not in love!

This is exactly what happened in Ekk Main Aur Ekk Tu with Kareena and Imran and Vaani – Ranveer sit down in Paris with their crates of beer, talking about life, while they’re not in love.

Shuddh Desi Romance and ADHM

Befikre tells the same tale which has been told in Shuddh Desi Romance and ADHM, we’ll not fall in love because it hurts and results in heart break. The hero and heroine are living in together but not ready to commit.

We’d say it’s half ADHM. Ranveer goes to Vaani’s pre wedding party, dances around happily, becomes friends with her fiancé, but towards the end of the ceremony realizes that he cannot see his girl getting married to someone. On the top of that, he finds a foreign chic (Ranbir finds Aish in ADHM) to have a rebound.
